Gov’t Mule Dark Side of the Mule

Thursday night at the Ruoff Music Center was the stage for the Gov’t Mule’s Dark Side of the Mule and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening. Warren Haynes and his band took the fans back in rock and roll history to experience “Dark Side of the Mule,” a tribute to Pink Floyd, as did the opener Jason Bonham with his tribute to his late father, John Bonham’s band Led Zeppelin.

Jason Bonham set the mood for the evening of rock nostalgia with an hour-long run time of Zed Zeppelin classics. Haynes and his band kicked off their set with Mule classics. Then the real enchantment unfolded during the second set when they embarked on a profound journey through the vast and captivating universe of Pink Floyd. The extended second set was a mesmerizing odyssey, taking the eager crowd through the wondrous realms of Floydian radiance.
