The Avett Brothers – The Lawn at White River Park – Indianapolis, Indiana – June 14, 2014
The Avett Brothers took the stage at The Lawn at White River to a crowd full of people in anticipation waiting for the first note from the beloved Avetts. The Brothers opened the night with a fan favorite, Live and Die, from their album, The Carpenter. One could argue that this band would be the result of Folk music and Red Bull combined. As with all Avett shows, the night was full of this level of energy on stage that bled into the crowd as well. Their mix of energized folk, and beautiful long songs echoed through what was a beautiful Indiana summers night. The band played other fan favorites like; Down with the shine, Kick Drum Heart, & I and Love and You. They also covered the George Jones song, The Race Is On, which was great surprise and had the attendees roaring.
As every one walked back to their cars the feeling was of great vibes and smiles around. This fact is one that seems to follow these Avetts around from show to show, and makes them a must see each and every time!
