The drive into Nashville, Indiana, still cuts like a lost verse from a cosmic country song—lush green hills folding into twilight, the kind of scene that makes you believe in ley lines and moonlit fiddle duels. On Friday night, The String Cheese Incident pulled their traveling caravan of jam-funk into the Brown County Music Center, and from the first note to the last echo, it was a music escape for the next few hours.
The venue was packed with tie-dyed pilgrims, weathered road veterans, and seasoned Cheeseheads. The band opened with “Eventually,” a slow burn stretching like a lazy sunrise over Monroe Lake. Kyle Hollingsworth’s keys shimmered like bottle rockets popping over pine trees while Bill Nershi’s guitar slinked in with that folksy warmth only he could summon. “Little Hands” followed, and it hit with the nostalgic thud of a letter from the past, reminding everyone why they first followed this band into the deep end.
The first set twisted through “Bhangra Saanj” with a joyous groove that summoned hips into motion. But the run from “Eye Know Why” into “Colorado Bluebird Sky” really lit the fuse—guitars wailing into orbit, percussion cascading like a waterfall made of drumsticks and sweat. When they finally took a breath, the crowd roared.
Set two was a rocket ship wrapped in a fiddle string. SCI cracked into “Can’t Wait Another Day” with the kind of radiant energy that made the walls melt a little, then slalomed into “Get Tight” before hurling the entire room headfirst into the Allman Brothers’ “Jessica.” For the encore, the boys returned with “Hi Ho No Show,” a zany, synth-bubbled stomp that felt like a punchline delivered from outer space. It was pure SCI weirdness wrapped in a grin.
When the lights finally came up, the crowd stumbled into the May night with that dazed, elated look only true believers wear. For one magical night in Brown County, The String Cheese Incident reminded us that the jam is still holy, the groove eternal, and the Cheese… oh, the Cheese is still very much alive.
Setlist:
Set One: Eventually, Little Hands, Bhangra Saanj, Tore Up Over You, Manga, Eye Know Why, Colorado Bluebird Sky
Set Two: Can’t Wait Another Day, Get Tight, Jessica, Indian Creek, The Way That it Goes, Johnny Cash, Impressions, Drums, Rollover

Saturday night in Louisville felt like a perfect evening, with cool breezes and the unmistakable energy of a crowd eager to be wrapped in Wilco’s sonic embrace. At the historic Iroquois Amphitheater, the beloved Chicago-based band delivered a two-set performance that was equal parts reflective and electric, marking their final stop before heading abroad.
Frontman Jeff Tweedy was in high spirits throughout the night. His laid-back charisma anchored a band firing on all cylinders—seasoned, sharp, and deeply connected to its material. From the opening pulse of “Spiders (Kidsmoke)” to the encore finale of “Outtasite (Outta Mind),” the evening was a carefully crafted journey through the band’s ever-evolving catalog.
Guitarist Nels Cline stole multiple moments with his trademark shredding, most notably during a breathtaking version of “Impossible Germany” with the crowd erupting mid-solo. Mikael Jorgensen added subtle textures on keys all night, enriching songs like “Many Worlds” and “Quiet Amplifier” with ambient layers. Longtime bassist John Stirratt was the steady heartbeat of the group, while Pat Sansone broke out with scorching guitar solos during the second set, most notably on “Bird Without a Tail/Base of My Skull.”
Louisville gave Wilco a warm send-off before they take a brief pause and gear up for tour legs in South America and the UK later this month. They will eventually return to U.S. stages in the fall.
In a three-decade career, Wilco still makes every performance feel like a special occasion—and on this particular night, under the stars in Kentucky, it absolutely was.

It was a colorful sendoff for Saint Motel as they brought The Symphony in the Sky Tour to a triumphant close on Thursday night at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis. Known for their genre-blending sound that fuses indie pop, funk rock, and cinematic flair, the Los Angeles-based quartet gave fans a night filled with a whirlwind of energy, theatrics, and a symphonic twist.
Opening the night was rising Chicago band Brigitte Calls Me Baby, whose nostalgic yet fresh take on ’50s crooner vocals mixed with modern indie tones set the perfect mood for the evening. Their rich sound and charismatic presence warmed up the crowd.

Saturday night in Louisville, My Morning Jacket lit up the historic Louisville Palace Theatre for the second night of their five-show hometown residency in support of their new album Is. With a sold-out crowd of 2,800 fans packed into the ornate, Spanish Baroque-styled venue where legends like Bob Dylan, Prince, Bob Weir, and others have all graced the stage, Jim James and company made it clear they are on absolute fire right now.
The night started with local neo-psychedelic rockers The Future Killers, who set a perfect tone for musical transcendence. The Palace’s vaulted ceiling, complete with 139 sculpted faces of historical figures and an imitation nighttime sky, was a magical setting for the evening of music.
Jacket opening with “Beginning From the Ending” off Is, the band immediately captured the room’s energy and never let go. A blend of new material, deep cuts, and jaw-dropping covers followed. Highlights included their take on Prince’s “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man”—played for the first time since 2016. Fitting for a Saturday night in Louisville, the band tore through Bob Weir’s “One More Saturday Night.” Then, during the encore, Jacket performed an electric cover of Pet Shop Boys’ “West End Girls” that had the entire crowd moving.
Midway through the set during “Lemme Know,” the unexpected happened as the band’s sound cut out. But rather than deflating the momentum, the moment turned into something unforgettable. Fans instinctively took over, singing as Jim James stepped forward to lead a moving rendition of “Bermuda Highway.” As the last notes echoed, the sound roared back to life, fueling the finish to the night that included thunderous versions of “Wordless Chorus,” “Highly Suspicious,” and more.
Jim James channeled every ounce of his energy straight into the music, forging a connection with the crowd that was palpable from the front row to the back balcony. It became an experience of shared catharsis, celebration, and pure sonic joy.
With two unforgettable nights now in the books, the excitement only builds for what’s in store for Sunday night’s setlist.

Tobias Theater | Indianapolis, IN Old Songs, New Songs, and Other Songs 2025 Tour
Suzanne Vega wrapped up her Old Songs, New Songs, and Other Songs tour on Monday night at the intimate Tobias Theater at Newfields in Indianapolis. The stripped-down stage setup—just two microphones, an electric and acoustic guitar, cello, and a handful of pedals—set the tone for an evening of music and storytelling.
Joined by guitarist Gerry Leonard and later cellist Stephanie Winters, Vega delivered a setlist spanning her career, blending folk, pop, and spoken-word elements. She captivated the audience with stories between songs, making the concert feel like a live episode of VH1 Storytellers. One particularly amusing tale involved a summer camp romance that inspired Gypsy and later In Liverpool, culminating in a surprise reunion decades later.
The show’s emotional weight deepened with Rock in His Pocket (Song of David) and Last Train from Mariupol, reflecting on themes of resilience and war. The set took a nostalgic turn with Left of Center from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack before Vega closed with her biggest hits—Luka and Tom’s Diner. The encore featured a moving cover of Lou Reed’s Walk on the Wild Side, the new song Rats, and Galway, wrapping up an unforgettable night.
Vega’s voice remained as pure and emotive as ever, effortlessly weaving between somber and assertive tones. With Leonard’s masterful guitar work adding depth and texture, the evening was a reminder of the timeless power of storytelling through song.
