D.C.’s Jazz Fest kicked off at The Hamilton with John Scofield’s Uberjam Band and they were SMOKIN’!  John Scofield ~ Guitar, Andy Hess ~ Bass, Avi Bortnick ~ Guitar and Electronics, and Tony Mason on Drums. The show was a sold out show with standing room only. The show consisted of some old tunes as well as new ones from the latest release “Uberjam Deux” and Scofield has this to say about it: “We explore different forms of groove music…We get into funk, Afrobeat, reggae, house music, R&B…Many of the new tunes are co-written by Avi and myself.”
