It was a colorful sendoff for Saint Motel as they brought The Symphony in the Sky Tour to a triumphant close on Thursday night at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre in Indianapolis. Known for their genre-blending sound that fuses indie pop, funk rock, and cinematic flair, the Los Angeles-based quartet gave fans a night filled with a whirlwind of energy, theatrics, and a symphonic twist.
Opening the night was rising Chicago band Brigitte Calls Me Baby, whose nostalgic yet fresh take on ’50s crooner vocals mixed with modern indie tones set the perfect mood for the evening. Their rich sound and charismatic presence warmed up the crowd.
When Saint Motel took the stage, it was clear this was more than just another stop—it was the finale, and they were here to celebrate. A.J. Jackson, the band’s frontman and multi-instrumentalist, led the charge with theatrical flair, his voice soaring across a crowd ready to sing along. Guitarist Aaron Sharp, bassist Dak Lerdamornpong, and drummer Greg Erwin brought the tight musicianship and playful showmanship that fans expect from the band.
The setlist spanned the band’s catalog and highlighted their love of blending musical eras. With this show marking the tour’s final performance, there was a celebratory air. Saint Motel may have wrapped up The Symphony in the Sky Tour, but left Indianapolis floating on a musical high.
